Large Chinese Antique Elm Daybed colour-black each holding a fruitShanxi, circa 1890 Produced as a daybed in Shanxi province at the end of the nineteenth century, this would have real impact as a long, large coffee table or would be ideal for seating at the end of a large bed. The original finish has worn to the more natural tones of the elm wood, with its lovely grain and character. The daybed's legs end in quite delicate horse hoof feet and are supported on all four sides by long stretchers, shaped with an S style
